This morning, Her Majesty the Gyaltsun Ashi Jetsun Pema Wangchuck graced the World Ozone Day celebrationat Motithang park, coinciding with the commencement of “Menlam Chenmo” (supreme aspiration prayer for the world peace) after the conclusion of oral transmission of Kanjur at Kunselphodrang.
Her Majesty the Gyaltsun is an avid supporter of environment conservation and it is a big boost to Bhutan’s commitment to achieve the elimination of substances causing depletion of ozone layer. The environment committee of the Parliament also attended the event.
In the afternoon, the National Council had its 55th plenary session in preparation to the last and the final session of the NC.
In the evening, attended the opening of the 7th international conference on Gross National Happiness.
Too many big events for a day. Too big an event for a small country.
